CONTENT/SEO STRATEGIST & WRITER

We are a Boston area, fully remote marketing firm and HubSpot Platinum Partner Agency providing consulting and outsourced marketing services to B2B organizations from a variety of industries, with strength in manufacturing, technology/SaaS, professional services, and architecture/engineering/construction (AEC).

Working with PMG, you’ll join a talented team of marketing professionals that serves a rapidly growing client base. We have an immediate, awesome, position available for a Content/SEO Strategist and Writer with:

This is a full-time virtual/work-from-home position.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the lead Content/SEO strategist on a set of PMG client accounts - when working as a strategist on an account, you will either be paired with a writer to produce the content or you will do the writing as well (when it make sense)
  • Collaborating with PMG account teams and clients on content strategy and programs
  • Interviewing client subject matter experts and creating content for blogs, web pages, emails, landing pages and social media posts

You are the ideal candidate if the following describes your skills, experience and education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in marketing, English, or communication
  • 3-5 years of content marketing/professional writing experience
  • Working knowledge/understanding of search engine optimization and creating content to enhance our clients’ visibility on Google and other search platforms - experience with SEMRush a plus
  • Experience in writing/marketing for technology companies a plus
  • Impeccable grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Solid research/interviewing skills
  • A firm grasp/understanding of content marketing
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to develop optimized, relevant and valuable content and set/meet project deadlines
  • Ability to move seamlessly between clients, projects and account managers so that multiple projects for multiple clients move forward successfully
  • Capable of taking direction and feedback well while also being able to bring new ideas to the table and push back when you feel strongly
  • Software/online savvy, ideally with experience in email newsletter software (such as Constant Contact), PowerPoint, basic Excel, WordPress, and all aspects of Word
  • Understanding of social media/experience creating content for various platforms
  • Appreciation for entrepreneurial organizations and how leaders of privately held companies think/what they value in a partnership
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot is a plus but not required 

You are the ideal candidate if the following describes your skills, experience and education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of marketing experience – prior agency experience a plus
  • Reside in East Coast or Central US time zone
  • Broad background in marketing that includes digital/inbound marketing
  • Ability to develop winning marketing strategies and marketing programs and lead their successful implementation
  • Able to delegate well and manage a high functioning account/project team
  • Aptitude for juggling multiple projects and clients for busy agency
  • Excellent, proactive communicator committed to keeping clients informed and up to date on your team’s work
  • Not afraid to use the resources you have to figure things out and make good decisions when you don’t know the answer
  • Critical thinker with an ability to see opportunity areas and make business/marketing recommendations
  • Competent writer
  • Software/online savvy
  • Understanding of social media, blogging, email marketing, SEO/content programs, demand gen campaigns
  • Analytical ability for setting metrics and tracking success of programs
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot is a plus
